The 2016 Olympic Games (OG) World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament 2 will convene in Istanbul of Turkey on May 6–8, 2016 while Iran’s 59kg wrestler Hamid Sourian will depart for Istanbul on Tuesday afternoon together with the head coach Mohammad Bana as well as the national team’s technical staff.
Sourian previously failed to overcome the South Korean rival missing an Olympic berth at the first 'Last-Chance' qualifier held in Mongolia.
Iran national Greco-Roman team has so far secured five out of six quotas available for 2016 Olympics while Sourian will attend the 2nd Qualification Tournament in his final attempt to book berths in 2016 Rio Olympics.
The 2016 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament 2 is the second of two worldwide qualification tournaments for the 2016 Olympics while the top two competitors in each weight class will qualify.
